Toyota Camry vs. Hyundai Accent Review

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs about the same to get the Hyundai Accent to the dealership as the Toyota Camry. The Camry consumes a lot of gasoline compared to the Hyundai Accent. The Toyota Camry will tax your gasoline budget considerably more than the Accent will. With respect to MSRP, the Hyundai Accent costs tremendously less than the Toyota Camry. The Toyota Camry will cost you a bundle in gas every year compared to the Hyundai Accent.

Utility
Neither the Hyundai Accent nor the Toyota Camry has a marked advantage when it comes to seating capacity.

Convenience
The Hyundai Accent's fuel tank will need to be replenished more often than the unit in the Toyota Camry.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Hyundai Accent offers a bit more head room than the Toyota, there frankly isn't much of a difference. The Toyota provides more head- and leg-room to your passengers than the Hyundai does.

Dimensions
The Toyota Camry is tremendously more bulky than the Hyundai Accent. Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Toyota Camry than the Hyundai Accent because of its bigger tank. The Accent fits in smaller parking spaces than the Toyota Camry. The Accent's shorter wheelbase will likely give a more maneuverable feel in daily traffic. On the other hand, the Toyota Camry is likely to have a smoother, more stable ride.

Performance
As far as horsepower, the Toyota packs quite a wallop and will knock the Accent down a few rungs. On the flip side, keep in mind that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Handling
With its tighter turning radius, the Hyundai Accent is definitely sprier than the Toyota, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; on the flip side, note that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
The Toyota Camry's engine is tremendously more massive than the Accent's. Remember that bigger engines may use more gasoline than smaller ones. Torque is roughly equivalent to acceleration, and in this respect, the Toyota is tremendously more powerful than the Hyundai Accent. Torque equals pickup, and the Toyota Camry will have picked up and gone by the time the Hyundai Accent finally gets moving.

Warranty
The basic after-sale protection that comes with the Toyota Camry isn't quite as generous as the Hyundai Accent's.
