Toyota Camry vs. Chevrolet Impala Review

Utility
The Impala will most certainly prove handier than the Toyota Camry for those of you with frequent child-cargo.

Performance
In terms of horsepower, the Camry packs quite a wallop and will knock the Chevrolet Impala down a few rungs. On the other hand, remember that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Dimensions
The Impala's tank is approximately the same size as the Toyota Camry's, though the Toyota Camry's is somewhat bigger. The Toyota Camry and the Chevrolet Impala compete for the same parking spaces.

Convenience
You most definitely won't have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the Chevrolet than with the Camry, because both offer similar ranges.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs approximately the same to get the Toyota Camry to the dealership as the Impala. With respect to fuel economy, the Toyota Camry and the Chevrolet don't differ much. The Chevrolet Impala isn't much more expensive than the Camry with respect to MSRP.

Handling
With their comparable turning radii, the Camry and the Impala definitely handle about the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Chevrolet's engine is significantly bigger than the Toyota Camry's. Note that bigger engines may use more gas than smaller ones. Torque is the force that lets you accelerate quickly, and in this respect, the Chevrolet Impala is substantially more powerful than the Toyota Camry. The Chevrolet Impala packs quite a wallop compared to the Toyota Camry regarding torque, which is roughly equivalent to acceleration.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Chevrolet offers a bit more head room than the Toyota Camry, there frankly isn't much of a difference. While the rear of the Toyota offers a bit more head- and leg-room than the Chevrolet Impala, there frankly isn't much of a difference.

Warranty
The Toyota Camry and the Chevrolet Impala have the same basic after-sale protection.
