2010 Toyota Camry Overview
As midsize sedans go, it’s no secret that one of the most dependable, fuel efficient and functional vehicles has been the Toyota Camry. Take those attributes and add a new, more powerful engine and mild exterior tweaks and you have the smart and sensible 2010 Toyota Camry.
For years, the Toyota Camry has been one of the most popular, dependable and efficient midsize sedans, but that’s nothing new. What is new is the new four-cylinder engines and six-speed transmissions. Power is increased with a 169-horsepower, 2.5-liter four-cylinder and a 179-horsepower, 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. If you desire more pop, a 268-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 has plenty of get-up for the Indy Car driver inside. The Camry comes in four intriguing trims – base, LE, sport-tuned SE and loaded XLE. Camrys are known for functionality and one major component of that is exceptional fuel economy. The 2010 Toyota Camry receives 19-28 mpg in the city and 22-32 mpg on the highway, keeping the cost at the pump at a minimum. The Camry competes with the Honda Accord, Nissan Altima and Chevrolet Malibu.
Complimenting the improvements under the hood, the 2010 Camry receives a minor, yet stylish facelift to the front and rear fascia. The SE trim boasts 17-inch wheels and a mesh-like grille that surely separates the new Camry from previous models. The 2010 Camry is full of premium features like the optional Smart Key System with Push Button Start, and heated, leather-trimmed seats. For those who appreciate crisp sound, a JBL eight-speaker sound system with AM/FM/MP3/WMA 6-disc in-dash CD changer, integrated satellite radio, Bluetooth connectivity and an auxiliary audio jack and USB port for your iPod. To insure that you never get lost, the optional voice-activated DVD navigation system with backup camera makes getting directions a breeze.
When it comes to safety, the 2010 Camry has you covered. The Star Safety System includes vehicle stability control, traction control, anti-lock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution and brake assist as standard equipment. Side curtain airbags, side-impact airbags for the front seats, dual front airbags and a driver's knee airbag are standard.
As far as midsize sedans go, the 2010 Toyota Camry has everything you need: excellent fuel economy, classic durability, impressive technology and limitless safety features.
