In terms of horsepower, the Pontiac G8 packs quite a punch and will knock the Toyota down a few rungs. On the other hand, remember that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

With their comparable turning radii, the Avalon and the G8 most definitely handle roughly the same into and out of tight spots.
