Toyota Avalon vs. Nissan Maxima Review

The Nissan Maxima and the Toyota Avalon can accommodate the same number of passengers.

Dimensions
The Toyota's tank is about the same size as the Nissan Maxima's, though the Nissan Maxima's is a bit larger. The Nissan Maxima and the Toyota Avalon compete for the same parking spaces.

Convenience
The Toyota's fuel tank will need to be replenished somewhat more often than the unit in the Nissan Maxima.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs roughly the same to get the Nissan Maxima to the dealership as the Toyota Avalon. Producing an accurate gas mileage evaluation is so tough that some think not even the federal government can do it, but it looks as though both the Toyota Avalon and the Toyota Avalon perform roughly similarly with respect to fuel economy. As far as MSRP, the Nissan Maxima costs approximately as much as the Toyota Avalon (though the Toyota Avalon is a bit cheaper).

Handling
With their similar turning circles, the Toyota and the Nissan Maxima most definitely handle almost the same into and out of tight spots.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Toyota Avalon offers a bit more head room than the Nissan Maxima, there honestly isn't much of a difference. The ampler interior dimensions of the Toyota Avalon make it significantly roomier for your passengers than the Nissan Maxima.

Warranty
The Toyota Avalon and the Nissan Maxima have the same basic after-sale protection.
