Toyota Avalon vs. Audi A4 Review

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs almost the same to get the Toyota to the dealership as the Audi A4. The Avalon guzzles a lot of gasoline compared to the Audi. The Toyota Avalon won't tax your gasoline budget considerably more than the A4 will. As far as MSRP, the Audi A4 costs almost as much as the Toyota Avalon (though the Toyota Avalon is a little cheaper).

Utility
Neither the Toyota Avalon nor the Audi A4 has a marked advantage when it comes to seating capacity.

Convenience
The Toyota Avalon's fuel tank will need to be replenished a tad more often than the unit in the Audi A4.

Comfort
Taller drivers will considerably enjoy the extra head room in the Audi's front cabin compared to the Toyota Avalon.

Dimensions
The Audi's tank is approximately the same size as the Avalon's, though the Toyota's is somewhat larger. The Audi A4 and the Toyota compete for the same parking spaces.

Performance
With respect to horsepower, the Toyota packs quite a punch and will knock the Audi A4 down a few rungs. However, bear in mind that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Handling
With their similar turning radii, the Toyota Avalon and the Audi A4 definitely handle about the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Toyota Avalon has a more sizeable engine than the Audi A4. Bear in mind that smaller engines are often cheaper to fix, but smaller engines can be stressed more. The Avalon has no lessons to learn when it comes to torque from the Audi.

Warranty
The basic warranty that comes with the Toyota isn't quite as generous as the Audi's.
