2009 Toyota Avalon Overview
Car buyers seeking a full-size sedan with ample interior space for seating and cargo, as well as reliability and power, look no further than the 2009 Toyota Avalon. With an upscale design that demonstrates an unexpected touch of refinement, the manufacturer’s flagship vehicle is sure to meet your driving needs.

The Avalon is featured in three amenity-laden trim levels: XL, XLS and Limited. All are powered by a power-packed 268-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode. The base XL comes equipped with 16-inch alloy wheels, automatic climate control and a six-disc CD changer. The XLS matches the Touring, but scales upward even further with a moonroof and a six-CD changer. The leather-laden Limited serves as the top-of-the-line trim with heated and ventilated front seats and an upgraded audio system.

Grouped with the likes of the Hyundai Azera, Ford Taurus and Chrysler 300, the Avalon need not concern itself with being overshadowed by those in its class or even cars in the crossover SUV category.  Tabbed as one of the more fuel-efficient full-size sedans on the market today, it boasts 19 MPG city and 28 MPG highway – good for any size road trip.

High-quality and copious amounts of space aptly describe the Avalon’s interior, with an engaging and ergonomic control layout and roomy accommodations. Legroom for any taller passengers is more than available and passing abilities are easily showcased – desirable sights for longer road trips.

Toyota’s impeccable safety record is further displayed in the newest edition of the Avalon. Standard features include anti-lock disc brakes, front side-impact airbags, overhead curtain airbags for both front and rear occupants, and a driver's side knee airbag. Active front head restraints, vehicle stability and traction control systems, and brake assist are new this year and are available on all trim levels.

One of the best-built, full-size sedans on the road today, the 2009 Toyota Avalon couples refinement, safety and control with a price that is sure to be in budget for the value you’re going to get.
