Toyota 4Runner vs. Mazda Tribute Hybrid Review

Performance
As far as horsepower, the Toyota 4Runner packs quite a punch and will knock the Tribute Hybrid down a few rungs. On the other hand, keep in mind that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Handling
With their comparable turning radiuses, the 4Runner and the Mazda most certainly handle roughly the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Toyota 4Runner's engine is tremendously more sizeable than the Tribute Hybrid's. Keep in mind that more sizeable engines may use more gasoline than smaller ones. Torque equals pickup, and the Toyota 4Runner will have picked up and gone by the time the Mazda Tribute Hybrid finally gets moving. The Mazda Tribute Hybrid could learn a lesson or two from the 4Runner when it comes to torque.

Utility
Neither the Mazda Tribute Hybrid nor the Toyota 4Runner has a marked advantage in terms of seating capacity. The Toyota 4Runner outpulls the Mazda Tribute Hybrid by a sizeable margin.

Convenience
The Toyota 4Runner's fuel tank will need to be replenished more often than the unit in the Tribute Hybrid.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Mazda Tribute Hybrid offers a bit more head room than the 4Runner, there honestly isn't much of a difference. The Mazda Tribute Hybrid is not particularly more spacious for your passengers than the Toyota 4Runner.

The Toyota 4Runner is considerably more bulky than the Mazda Tribute Hybrid.
