Toyota 4Runner vs. GMC Acadia Review

Utility
The GMC Acadia will most definitely prove more convenient than the 4Runner for those of you with frequent child-cargo. Towing is significantly more the Toyota 4Runner's forte than it is the GMC's.

Dimensions
The GMC Acadia's tank is about the same size as the Toyota's, though the Toyota's is slightly larger. The Toyota and the GMC Acadia compete for the same parking spaces. The Acadia's longer wheelbase will result in a smoother, more stable ride; on the flip side, the Toyota 4Runner may give a more maneuverable feel in daily traffic.

Convenience
The GMC's fuel tank will need to be replenished a little more often than the unit in the Toyota 4Runner.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs about the same to get the GMC to the dealership as the Toyota. The Toyota 4Runner doesn't pale in comparison to the GMC Acadia as far as gas mileage. When it comes to MSRP, the Toyota doesn't cost much less than the GMC Acadia.

Handling
With their similar turning radii, the Toyota 4Runner and the GMC Acadia most certainly handle about the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The GMC Acadia's engine is somewhat smaller than the Toyota 4Runner's, but not terribly so.

Comfort
Taller drivers will considerably enjoy the extra head room in the GMC Acadia's front cabin compared to the Toyota 4Runner. The GMC Acadia offers more head- and leg-room to your passengers than the Toyota does.

Warranty
The GMC Acadia and the Toyota 4Runner have the same basic warranty.
