Suzuki XL7 vs. Ford Edge Review

Handling
With its tighter turning radius, the Ford Edge is definitely more maneuverable than the Suzuki XL7, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; however, keep in mind that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
The Edge's engine is a little smaller than the Suzuki XL7's, but not terribly so. The Suzuki XL7 has no lessons to learn as far as torque from the Ford.

Utility
The XL7 will quite certainly prove handier than the Ford Edge for those of you with frequent child-cargo. There's no clear winner between the Suzuki XL7 and the Ford Edge with respect to transporting cargo. Towing is substantially more the Suzuki XL7's forte than it is the Ford Edge's.

Convenience
You'll quite certainly take the XL7 for a fill-up about as often as the Edge.

Comfort
Taller drivers will significantly enjoy the extra head room in the Suzuki XL7's front cabin compared to the Ford Edge. While the rear of the Ford Edge offers a bit more head- and leg-room than the Suzuki, there really isn't much of a difference.

Dimensions
The Suzuki XL7's tank is roughly the same size as the Ford Edge's, though the Ford Edge's is a tad larger. The Ford Edge and the XL7 compete for the same parking spaces.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs almost the same to get the XL7 to the dealership as the Ford. The XL7 is substantially less costly than the Ford Edge in terms of MSRP.
