Suzuki SX4 vs. Scion xB Review

Utility
The Suzuki's larger trunk will accommodate more sizeable items than the Scion xB. The SX4 and the Scion xB can accommodate the same number of passengers.

Performance
In terms of horsepower, the SX4 packs quite a punch and will knock the Scion xB down a few rungs. On the flip side, remember that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums. Both the Suzuki SX4 and the Scion xB are likely to feel a tad slow because of their high horsepower-to-weight ratio.

Dimensions
Both the SX4 and the Scion xB are likely to feel a tad sluggish because of their high horsepower-to-weight ratio. The SX4's tank is about the same size as the Scion xB's, though the Scion xB's is a tad larger. The Scion and the SX4 compete for the same parking spaces.

Convenience
You will quite certainly have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the Suzuki than with the Scion xB.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs about the same to get the xB to the dealership as the Suzuki SX4. In terms of gas mileage, the xB has the Suzuki beat. Regarding fuel economy, the Scion xB is a little better than the Suzuki SX4, but not by much. As far as MSRP, the Suzuki costs roughly as much as the Scion xB (though the Scion xB is a tad cheaper).

Handling
The Suzuki SX4 and the Scion xB have approximately comparable tires. With their similar turning radiuses, the SX4 and the Scion xB likely handle roughly the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Scion xB's engine is quite a bit smaller than the Suzuki SX4's. Note that smaller engines can be stressed more; on the flip side, smaller engines typically get better gas mileage. The Scion xB could learn a lesson or two from the Suzuki in terms of pickup. Torque is the force that lets you accelerate quickly, and in this respect, the Suzuki is quite a bit more powerful than the Scion xB.

Comfort
Taller drivers will significantly enjoy the extra head room in the Scion's front cabin compared to the Suzuki SX4. The ampler interior dimensions of the Scion xB make it quite a bit roomier for your passengers than the Suzuki SX4.
