Suzuki SX4 vs. Honda Element Review

Performance
Both the SX4 and the Honda are likely to feel somewhat sluggish because of their high horsepower-to-weight ratio.

Handling
The Honda Element and the Suzuki have about similar tires. With their similar turning radii, the Element and the Suzuki SX4 quite certainly handle approximately the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Suzuki SX4's engine is significantly smaller than the Honda Element's. Remember that smaller engines can be stressed more; on the flip side, smaller engines are often cheaper to fix. Torque equals pickup, and the Honda will have picked up and gone by the time the Suzuki finally gets moving. The Suzuki SX4 could learn a lesson or two from the Element as far as torque.

Utility
The Honda is a better choice than the SX4 as far as hauling capacity, especially if you often need to carry a lot of equipment or massive dogs. Drivers with frequent kid-duty might favor the Suzuki SX4 over the Element.

Convenience
The SX4's fuel tank will need to be replenished more often than the unit in the Honda.

Comfort
Taller drivers will substantially enjoy the extra head room in the Honda Element's front cabin compared to the Suzuki SX4. The ampler interior dimensions of the Element make it quite a bit roomier for your passengers than the Suzuki SX4.

Dimensions
The Honda Element is quite a bit heavier than the Suzuki SX4. Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Honda Element than the Suzuki SX4 because of its larger tank. The Suzuki SX4 and the Honda compete for the same parking spaces.

Cost
There frankly isn't much of a difference in gas mileage here, but if you must know, the SX4 is a little more economical than the Element. The Element will tax your gasoline budget considerably more than the Suzuki SX4 will. The Suzuki is markedly less costly than the Honda Element with respect to MSRP.
