Suzuki Overview:

For 2009, Suzuki introduces the all-new Equator compact pickup truck. The Equator is built on the same platform as the Nissan Frontier and comes in Extended and Crew Cab versions. A 4.0-liter, 261-horsepower V-6 with a maximum towing capacity of 6,300 makes trips to the equator in the Equator possible.

Suzuki chose to beef up the SX4 hatchback crossover and sport trims with a GPS navigation system and an optional Technology Package with Bluetooth connectivity. Both SX4 body types feature standard all-wheel drive, modern styling and excellent cargo capacity.

SUV buyers have two Suzuki models to choose from – the midsize Grand Vitara and the full-size XL7, both of which feature excellent off-road capability and ample cargo room. The Grand Vitara gets a larger V-6 engine and an updated front grille and bumper.

Both the Reno hatchback and Forenza sedan and wagon have been discontinued in 2009.
