Suzuki Grand Vitara vs. Subaru Forester Review

Handling
With their similar turning circles, the Forester and the Suzuki Grand Vitara quite certainly handle about the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Suzuki's engine is somewhat smaller than the Subaru Forester's, but not terribly so. Torque is roughly equivalent to acceleration, and in this respect, the Subaru Forester isn't much more powerful than the Suzuki Grand Vitara.

Utility
The Suzuki and the Forester can accommodate the same number of passengers. The Suzuki Grand Vitara outpulls the Subaru Forester by a big margin.

Convenience
The Grand Vitara's fuel tank will need to be replenished a bit more often than the unit in the Subaru.

Comfort
Taller drivers will significantly enjoy the extra head room in the Subaru's front cabin compared to the Grand Vitara. The Subaru Forester offers more head- and leg-room to your passengers than the Grand Vitara does.

Dimensions
The Subaru Forester's tank is roughly the same size as the Grand Vitara's, though the Grand Vitara's is a little bigger. The Suzuki Grand Vitara and the Subaru Forester compete for the same parking spaces.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The Subaru Forester is substantially cheaper to get to the dealership than the Grand Vitara. In terms of gas mileage, the Subaru Forester and the Suzuki Grand Vitara don't differ much. In terms of fuel economy, the Subaru Forester is somewhat better than the Suzuki, but not by much. The Suzuki Grand Vitara isn't much less pricey than the Forester with respect to MSRP.

The Forester and the Suzuki Grand Vitara have the same basic after-sale protection.
