Suzuki Grand Vitara vs. Ford Escape Review

The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs roughly the same to get the Ford Escape to the dealership as the Suzuki Grand Vitara. The Grand Vitara doesn't pale in comparison to the Ford Escape with respect to gas mileage. Producing an exact gas mileage evaluation is so tough that some think not even the federal government can do it, but it looks as though both the Ford Escape and the Ford Escape perform roughly similarly regarding gas mileage. Regarding MSRP, the Suzuki Grand Vitara doesn't cost much less than the Ford Escape.

Utility
The Suzuki and the Ford Escape can accommodate the same number of passengers. Towing is significantly more the Suzuki's forte than it is the Ford's.

Convenience
The Suzuki Grand Vitara's fuel tank will need to be replenished slightly more often than the unit in the Ford Escape.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Ford Escape offers a bit more head room than the Suzuki Grand Vitara, there really isn't much of a difference. While the rear of the Suzuki Grand Vitara offers a bit more head- and leg-room than the Ford Escape, there honestly isn't much of a difference.

Dimensions
The Ford Escape's tank is about the same size as the Grand Vitara's, though the Grand Vitara's is a bit larger. The Ford and the Grand Vitara compete for the same parking spaces.

Performance
In terms of horsepower, the Ford Escape packs quite a wallop and will knock the Suzuki Grand Vitara down a few rungs. On the flip side, note that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Drivetrain
The Ford Escape's engine isn't much more massive than the Suzuki Grand Vitara's. The Suzuki has no lessons to learn as far as torque from the Escape.

Warranty
The Ford Escape and the Suzuki Grand Vitara have the same basic warranty.
