It costs approximately the same to get the Mazda B4000 to the dealership as the Suzuki Equator. The Suzuki Equator won't save you much money at the pump compared to the Mazda B4000. The Mazda B4000 is considerably less expensive than the Equator in terms of MSRP.

Utility
The Mazda and the Equator can accommodate the same number of passengers. The Suzuki Equator is likely a better choice than the Mazda B4000 in terms of transporting cargo, especially if you frequently need to carry a lot of loot or massive pets.

The Mazda's fuel tank will need to be replenished a tad more often than the unit in the Suzuki Equator.
