2009 Subaru Tribeca Overview
After significant changes in 2008, the 2009 Subaru Tribeca polishes up minor details and remains a favorite among those looking for interior and exterior utility.

The Tribeca keeps it simple with three trim levels that share the same engine. The base Tribeca, Special Edition and Limited all feature a 3.6-liter, 256-horsepower Subaru Boxer engine with Dual Active Valve Control System. Power is fed through a standard 5-speed adaptive electronic direct-control automatic transmission with SPORTSHIFT® manual control. When it comes to fuel economy, the Tribeca gets an average 16 MPG in the city and 21 MPG on the highway. That’s on par with the Ford Edge, Hyundai Santa Fe and Toyota Highlander.

When it comes to fitting your family, friends or cargo, the Tribeca is ready. An optional third row enables seating for seven. If you decide to fold the two rows down you can get up to 74.4 cubic feet of cargo room. The Tribeca hosts a variety of luxury and convenience features as well. With XM® or SIRIUS® Satellite Radio capability and a 160-watt 9-speaker premium audio system with subwoofer, 6-disc in-dash CD changer and MP3 compatibility in Limited models, the most discerning audiophiles will be delighted.

An optional Navigation Package adds a touch-screen GPS navigation system with multifunction display Available leather-trimmed upholstery and the 8-way power driver seat and 4-way power passenger seat coddle front seat occupants. In 7-passenger models, a rear-cabin air conditioner and 3-stage heated front seats make winter driving a more pleasurable experience. An optional power tilt/sliding glass moonroof and stylish 18-inch 5-spoke aluminum alloy wheels round out a comprehensive and well-appointed group of amenities.

Tribeca features Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive for maximum grip and control in a variety of road and weather conditions. 4-wheel ventilated disc brakes with a 4-channel, 4-sensor Anti-Lock Braking System with Electronic Brake-force Distribution and Brake Assist offer confident stopping power. When it comes to safety, the Tribeca carries a 5-star government crash test rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Passive safety features are abundant, with a standard rollover sensor combined with dual front airbags with passenger seat occupant detection sensors, dual seat-mounted front side impact airbags and side curtain airbags.

Take a powerful engine, distinct design, tons of interior space and copious standard and optional amenities, and you have the 2009 Subaru Tribeca.
