2010 Subaru Impreza Overview
The 2010 Subaru Impreza is indeed an impressive vehicle by showing its flexibility as a sedan or hatchback with only minor enhancements for 2010, including a new grille and four disc brakes in all models.

With competition from the Mazda3 and Volkswagen Jetta, the 2010 Subaru Impreza is available in five trim levels with three engine options. The Outback Sport and 2.5i receive a 170-horsepower, 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine; the WRX and 2.5GT are equipped with a 265-horsepower, turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine; and the performance-oriented WRX STI features a 305-horsepower, turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. Three transmission options are available, including a four-speed automatic with overdrive, four-speed automatic with overdrive and manual shift, and five-speed manual with overdrive, which is found in the WRX STI.

The more rugged of the bunch, the Outback Sport is only offered as a hatchback and features 17-inch alloy wheels, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter, heated front seats and a 10-speaker surround sound system. The sporty WRX offers a sport-tuned suspension, tailpipe tips and aluminum alloy pedal covers. If you’re looking for performance, the WRX STI sport car offers a powerful engine with standard steering wheel-mounted controls, speed-sensitive power steering, and 18-inch wheels. A navigation system is optional for all models.

All-wheel drive is standard on all 2010 Subaru Impreza models and the 2.5i and 2.5GT sit on 16-inch wheels. The hatchback receives a standard rear lip spoiler and clear-lens taillights with red LEDs while the 2.5GT offers a standard hood scoop and sport-tuned suspension. All models feature a 60/40-split fold-down rear seat and the hatchback adds a cargo area cover and tie-down hooks.

As for safety, the 2010 Subaru Impreza is standard equipped with side-impact and side-curtain airbags, an electronic stability system with traction control, and antilock brakes with brake-force distribution and brake assist.

The 2010 Subaru Impreza offers a little something for everyone, from sports car performance of the WRX and WRX STI for those with a need for speed to the Outback Sport for the fun-loving rugged outdoorsman.
