2009 Saturn Aura Overview
Anyone who appreciates luxury at a non-luxurious price, will appreciate the 2009 Saturn Aura. It is a sedan large enough to hold five passengers, but sleek and powerful enough to outshine the other cars in its class. The 2009 edition retains the style and the endless options of the previous year's model.
The 2009 Saturn Aura is available in three trims. The standard EX trim comes with a 4.0-liter, 169-horsepower engine and gets great fuel economy (17-22 MPG in the city and 26-33 MPG on the freeway). Interested in a little more power? The XR and XR VG trims include a standard 3.6-liter, 252-horsepower V-6 engine. Whether looking for more power or to brighten up your karma with better fuel efficiency, all three options come with a six-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. If you are looking for better fuel economy, but love the Aura—don’t panic! The Aura’s sibling—the Aura Hybrid gets 26 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway.
Pricing for the family sedan starts at $22,000 and tops out around $27,000 if you choose all the available luxury features. While power windows, air conditioning and cruise control come standard in all trims, a CD changer is only available in the luxury models. An available Advanced Audio Package includes a six-disc, in-dash CD/MP3 player, eight premium speakers, a 240-watt amplifier, and rear seat audio controls. Also, while a Bluetooth phone connection and front heated seats come comes standard in the RX models; it is available for extra in the base model. A moon or sun roof (power or manual) is optional on all three.
