
The ultra-capable 2009 Saab 9-7X is a premium luxury SUV that offers a unique style, excellent off-road abilities, and a range of powerful engines.
Available in three trim levels – 4.2i, 5.3i, and Aero – the 9-7X has the power to handle a variety of roads. The 4.2-liter, 285-horsepower six-cylinder engine features adequate acceleration and towing power, while the 5.3-liter, 300-horsepower V-8 engine has Active Fuel Management that conserves fuel. Aero models boast a 6.0-liter, 390-horsepower engine with cold air induction that allows for ample thrust and effortless merging. A smooth-shifting four-speed automatic transmission comes standard, with a heavy-duty version on Aero to handle the extra power and torque. Standard Automatic All-Wheel Drive seamlessly distributes power between the front and rear wheels to optimize handling on a variety of road surfaces. The standard Saab-tuned sport chassis gives a lower stance, firmer springs, and stiffer shock absorbers, while the load-leveling rear air suspension system fine tunes on-road behavior and adjusts ride height to meet changing conditions.
