2014 Volkswagen Beetle vs. 2013 BMW 135 Review

Comparison Review

Comfort
The Volkswagen Beetle offers a bit more room for passengers in the back seat than the BMW 135. As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between the Volkswagen Beetle and the BMW 135 in the front seats.

Convenience
With the Volkswagen Beetle you will definitely be making fewer stops at the gas station than with the BMW 135, due to its larger tank size and better fuel economy.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). Based on MSRP, the Volkswagen Beetle is clearly a better financial choice over the BMW 135. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The Volkswagen Beetle carries a much lower Destination Charge than the BMW 135.

Dimensions
Since the Volkswagen Beetle is much wider than the BMW 135, finding a wide enough spot in a parking lot may be a bit more challenging. The Volkswagen Beetle is slightly shorter than the BMW 135, which may make it easier to park.

Drivetrain
The Volkswagen Beetle has much less torque than the BMW 135, which generally means that it won't feel as fast or powerful.

Handling
The Volkswagen Beetle has about the same turning radius as the BMW 135, allowing equal maneuverability in and out of tight spots.

Performance
When it comes to horsepower, the Volkswagen Beetle is significantly less powerful than the BMW 135. The good news is that, reportedly, cars with lower horsepower engines often have lower insurance premiums.

Utility
In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the Volkswagen Beetle and the BMW 135. The Volkswagen Beetle has less cargo capacity than the BMW 135, which is okay if you don't need to move a lot in one trip.

Warranty
The basic warranty of the Volkswagen Beetle is not as nearly as extensive as that of the BMW 135.
