2014 Scion xD vs. 2015 Kia Forte Review

Comparison Review

Comfort
Passengers in the back seat will be able to stretch out a lot more in the Kia Forte than the Scion xD, due to its greater head- and legroom. The Kia Forte will be a favorite with taller drivers due to its greater front head- and legroom than the Scion xD.

Convenience
The Kia Forte requires fewer visits to the gas station than the Scion xD, making it more convenient to drive.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). Based on MSRP, the Scion xD is clearly a better financial choice over the Kia Forte. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The Scion xD and the Kia Forte have similar Destination Charges.

Dimensions
Since the Scion xD is much slimmer than the Kia Forte, it'll be much easier to find a wide enough space in a crowded parking lot. If you go with the Scion xD, you'll have a much easier time finding a large enough space to park than you will with the Kia Forte.

Drivetrain
With its lower torque, the Scion xD doesn't do as good a job transmitting power to its wheels as the Kia Forte.

Handling
The Scion xD has a larger turning radius than the Kia Forte, making it slightly more difficult to maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
When it comes to horsepower, the Scion xD is significantly less powerful than the Kia Forte. The good news is that, reportedly, cars with lower horsepower engines often have lower insurance premiums.

Utility
In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the Scion xD and the Kia Forte.

Warranty
The basic warranty of the Scion xD is not as nearly as extensive as that of the Kia Forte.
