2015 RAM Cargo vs. 2016 RAM ProMaster 2500 Review

Comparison Review

The RAM Cargo will be popular with taller drivers and passengers in the front seat, due to its greater front head- and legroom than the RAM ProMaster 2500.

There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). Clearly, the RAM Cargo is a better financial choice over the RAM ProMaster 2500, when considering MSRP. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The RAM Cargo carries a much lower Destination Charge than the RAM ProMaster 2500.

Since the RAM Cargo is much slimmer than the RAM ProMaster 2500, it'll be much easier to find a wide enough space in a crowded parking lot. If you go with the RAM Cargo, you'll have a much easier time finding a large enough space to park than you will with the RAM ProMaster 2500.

With similar torque, the RAM Cargo and the RAM ProMaster 2500 are about even in transmitting their respective horsepower to the wheels.

The RAM Cargo has a significantly smaller turning radius than the RAM ProMaster 2500, allowing you to much more easily maneuver in and out of tight spots.

In terms of towing capacity, the RAM ProMaster 2500 is clearly the choice over the RAM Cargo for pulling heavy loads. In terms of horsepower, it's a virtual tie between the RAM Cargo and the RAM ProMaster 2500.

The RAM Cargo has less seating than the RAM ProMaster 2500, making the RAM ProMaster 2500 the better choice, if you need to chauffeur many passengers.

The RAM Cargo comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the RAM ProMaster 2500.
