2019 RAM 1500 vs. 2018 RAM 3500 Review

Comparison Review

The RAM 1500 offers a bit more room for passengers in the extended cab than the RAM 3500. As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between the RAM 1500 and the RAM 3500.

There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). When looking only at MSRP, the RAM 1500 will have less of an impact on your bank account than the RAM 3500. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. Both the RAM 1500 and the RAM 3500 have similar Destination Charges.

Since the RAM 1500 is much wider than the RAM 3500, finding a wide enough spot in a parking lot may be a bit more challenging. If you go with the RAM 1500, you'll have a much easier time finding a large enough space to park than you will with the RAM 3500.

The RAM 1500 offers much less torque than the RAM 3500, which generally means that it won't feel as fast or powerful.

The RAM 1500 has a significantly smaller turning radius than the RAM 3500, allowing you to more easily maneuver in and out of tight spots.

In terms of towing capacity, the RAM 3500 is clearly the choice over the RAM 1500 for pulling heavy loads. In terms of horsepower, it's a virtual tie between the RAM 1500 and the RAM 3500.

The RAM 1500 has less seating than the RAM 3500, making the RAM 3500 the better choice if you often have passengers. The RAM 1500 has a little less cargo capacity than the RAM 3500 for hauling material.

The RAM 1500 comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the RAM 3500.
