2015 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class vs. 2016 Jaguar F-TYPE Review

Comparison Review

The Mercedes-Benz SL-Class will be a favorite with taller drivers due to its greater front head- and legroom than the Jaguar F-TYPE.

You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the Mercedes-Benz SL-Class as you will with the Jaguar F-TYPE, as they get the same number of miles per tank of gas.

There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The Mercedes-Benz SL-Class will definitely make more of a dent in your wallet than the Jaguar F-TYPE, which has a much lower MSRP. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. In this case, the Mercedes-Benz SL-Class will cost less to deliver to the dealership than the Jaguar F-TYPE.

Since the Mercedes-Benz SL-Class is much wider than the Jaguar F-TYPE, finding a wide enough spot in a parking lot may be a bit more challenging. For some people, bigger is better. If that's the case for you, then you'll be happier with the Mercedes-Benz SL-Class, which is slightly longer than the Jaguar F-TYPE.

Due to its much higher torque, the engine of the Mercedes-Benz SL-Class does a much better job of transmitting power to the wheels than the Jaguar F-TYPE.

The Mercedes-Benz SL-Class has a smaller turning radius than the Jaguar F-TYPE, allowing you to more easily maneuver in and out of tight spots.

When it comes to horsepower, the Mercedes-Benz SL-Class has a much more powerful engine than the Jaguar F-TYPE. However, something you should consider is that higher horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the Mercedes-Benz SL-Class and the Jaguar F-TYPE. With its significantly greater cargo capacity, the Mercedes-Benz SL-Class will be able to haul more equipment or luggage than the Jaguar F-TYPE.

The basic warranty of the Mercedes-Benz SL-Class is not as nearly as extensive as that of the Jaguar F-TYPE.
