2015 Mercedes-Benz M-Class vs. 2015 GMC Yukon Review

Comparison Review

Comfort
Passengers in the back seat may find themselves a little more cramped in the Mercedes-Benz M-Class than the GMC Yukon. The GMC Yukon will be a hit with tall drivers and their front seat passengers, since it has greater front head- and legroom than the Mercedes-Benz M-Class.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The Mercedes-Benz M-Class is somewhat more expensive than the GMC Yukon. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. In this case, the Mercedes-Benz M-Class will cost less to deliver to the dealership than the GMC Yukon.

Dimensions
Since the Mercedes-Benz M-Class is much slimmer than the GMC Yukon, it'll be much easier to find a wide enough space in a crowded parking lot. If you go with the Mercedes-Benz M-Class, you'll have a much easier time finding a large enough space to park than you will with the GMC Yukon.

Drivetrain
With its lower torque engine, the Mercedes-Benz M-Class doesn't do as good a job transmitting power to its wheels as the GMC Yukon.

Handling
The Mercedes-Benz M-Class has the same turning radius as the GMC Yukon, so they both maneuver the same in and out of tight spots.

Performance
With the GMC Yukon, you'll be able to pull heavier loads than with the Mercedes-Benz M-Class. The Mercedes-Benz M-Class has a little less horsepower than the GMC Yukon.

Utility
Soccer Moms beware - the Mercedes-Benz M-Class seats a lot fewer people than the GMC Yukon. The Mercedes-Benz M-Class has less cargo space than the GMC Yukon, which is okay if you don't need to move a lot in one trip.

Warranty
You'll have greater peace of mind with the more generous basic warranty of the Mercedes-Benz M-Class than that of the GMC Yukon.
