2015 Mercedes-Benz M-Class vs. 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe Review

Comparison Review

Comfort
Passengers in the back seat may find themselves a little more cramped in the Mercedes-Benz M-Class than the Chevrolet Tahoe. The Chevrolet Tahoe will be a hit with tall drivers and their front seat passengers, since it has greater front head- and legroom than the Mercedes-Benz M-Class.

Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the Mercedes-Benz M-Class as you will with the Chevrolet Tahoe, as they are both able to travel similar distances on a tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The Mercedes-Benz M-Class is somewhat more expensive than the Chevrolet Tahoe. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The Mercedes-Benz M-Class carries a much lower Destination Charge than the Chevrolet Tahoe.

Dimensions
Since the Mercedes-Benz M-Class is much slimmer than the Chevrolet Tahoe, it'll be much easier to find a wide enough space in a crowded parking lot. If you go with the Mercedes-Benz M-Class, you'll have a much easier time finding a large enough space to park than you will with the Chevrolet Tahoe.

Drivetrain
With its lower torque engine, the Mercedes-Benz M-Class doesn't do as good a job transmitting power to its wheels as the Chevrolet Tahoe.

Handling
The Mercedes-Benz M-Class has the same turning radius as the Chevrolet Tahoe, so they both maneuver the same in and out of tight spots.

Performance
With the Chevrolet Tahoe, you'll be able to pull heavier loads than with the Mercedes-Benz M-Class. The Mercedes-Benz M-Class has a little less horsepower than the Chevrolet Tahoe.

Utility
Soccer Moms beware - the Mercedes-Benz M-Class seats a lot fewer people than the Chevrolet Tahoe. The Mercedes-Benz M-Class has less cargo space than the Chevrolet Tahoe, which is okay if you don't need to move a lot in one trip.

Warranty
You'll have greater peace of mind with the more generous basic warranty of the Mercedes-Benz M-Class than that of the Chevrolet Tahoe.
