2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class vs. 2016 Hyundai Genesis Review

Comparison Review

Comfort
Passengers in the back seat will feel a little more squished in the Mercedes-Benz C-Class than in the Hyundai Genesis, due to the Mercedes-Benz C-Class's smaller rear head- and legroom. The Hyundai Genesis will be a favorite with taller drivers due to its greater front head- and legroom than the Mercedes-Benz C-Class.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is somewhat more expensive than the Hyundai Genesis. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The Mercedes-Benz C-Class and the Hyundai Genesis have similar Destination Charges.

Dimensions
Since the Mercedes-Benz C-Class is much slimmer than the Hyundai Genesis, it'll be much easier to find a wide enough space in a crowded parking lot. If you go with the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, you'll have a much easier time finding a large enough space to park than you will with the Hyundai Genesis.

Drivetrain
With its lower torque, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class doesn't do as good a job transmitting power to its wheels as the Hyundai Genesis.

Handling
The Mercedes-Benz C-Class has about the same turning radius as the Hyundai Genesis, allowing equal maneuverability in and out of tight spots.

Performance
When it comes to horsepower, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class is significantly less powerful than the Hyundai Genesis. The good news is that, reportedly, cars with lower horsepower engines often have lower insurance premiums.

Utility
In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and the Hyundai Genesis. The Mercedes-Benz C-Class has significantly less cargo room than the Hyundai Genesis, which may be a concern if you do a lot of warehouse shopping.

Warranty
The basic warranty of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class is not as nearly as extensive as that of the Hyundai Genesis.
