Convenience
With the MINI MINI-Roadster you will definitely be making less frequent stops at the gas station than with the Mazda MX-5 Miata, due to its tank size and fuel economy.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). When looking only at MSRP, the Mazda MX-5 Miata will have less of an impact on your bank account than the MINI MINI-Roadster. Drivetrain
The Mazda MX-5 Miata has much less torque than the MINI MINI-Roadster, which generally means that it won't feel as fast or powerful.

Utility
In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the Mazda MX-5 Miata and the MINI MINI-Roadster. The Mazda MX-5 Miata has significantly less cargo room than the MINI MINI-Roadster, which may be a concern if you do a lot of warehouse shopping.
