2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata vs. 2015 MINI MINI-Roadster Review

Comparison Review

As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between the Mazda MX-5 Miata and the MINI MINI-Roadster in the front seats.

The MINI MINI-Roadster requires fewer visits to the gas station than the Mazda MX-5 Miata, making it more convenient to drive.

There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). Whether you pick the Mazda MX-5 Miata or the MINI MINI-Roadster, it's going to cost you about the same. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The Mazda MX-5 Miata and the MINI MINI-Roadster have similar Destination Charges.

Since the Mazda MX-5 Miata is much wider than the MINI MINI-Roadster, finding a wide enough spot in a parking lot may be a bit more challenging. For some people, bigger is better. If that's the case for you, then you'll be happier with the Mazda MX-5 Miata, which is slightly longer than the MINI MINI-Roadster.

With its lower torque, the Mazda MX-5 Miata doesn't do as good a job transmitting power to its wheels as the MINI MINI-Roadster.

The Mazda MX-5 Miata has a significantly smaller turning radius than the MINI MINI-Roadster, allowing much better maneuverability in and out of tight spots.

The Mazda MX-5 Miata has less horsepower than the MINI MINI-Roadster, so it will probably be somewhat slower.

In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the Mazda MX-5 Miata and the MINI MINI-Roadster. The Mazda MX-5 Miata has significantly less cargo room than the MINI MINI-Roadster, which may be a concern if you do a lot of warehouse shopping.
