2013 Mazda Mazda3 vs. 2013 Mitsubishi Lancer Review

Comparison Review

Comfort
The Mazda Mazda3 offers rear passengers about the same space to stretch out as the Mitsubishi Lancer with comparable rear head- and legroom in both vehicles. Offering just a little more front head- and legroom than the Mazda Mazda3, drivers may find the Mitsubishi Lancer a little roomier and somewhat more comfortable.

Convenience
With the Mazda Mazda3 you will definitely be making fewer stops at the gas station than with the Mitsubishi Lancer, due to its larger tank size and better fuel economy.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). When looking only at MSRP, the Mazda Mazda3 will have less of an impact on your bank account than the Mitsubishi Lancer. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The Mazda Mazda3 and the Mitsubishi Lancer have similar Destination Charges.

Dimensions
The Mazda Mazda3 is about the same width as the Mitsubishi Lancer. When looking at overall length, the Mazda Mazda3 takes up about the same amount of space in your garage as the Mitsubishi Lancer.

Drivetrain
With its lower torque, the Mazda Mazda3 doesn't do as good a job transmitting power to its wheels as the Mitsubishi Lancer.

Handling
The Mazda Mazda3 has a larger turning radius than the Mitsubishi Lancer, making it slightly more difficult to maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
The Mazda Mazda3 has less horsepower than the Mitsubishi Lancer, so it will probably be somewhat slower.

Utility
In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the Mazda Mazda3 and the Mitsubishi Lancer. The Mazda Mazda3 has less cargo capacity than the Mitsubishi Lancer, which is okay if you don't need to move a lot in one trip.

Warranty
The basic warranty of the Mazda Mazda3 is not as nearly as extensive as that of the Mitsubishi Lancer.
