2013 Lexus IS-F vs. 2015 Acura RLX Review

Comparison Review

Comfort
Passengers in the back seat will be able to stretch out a lot more in the Acura RLX than the Lexus IS-F, due to its greater head- and legroom. Offering just a little more front head- and legroom than the Acura RLX, the Lexus IS-F may be a little roomier and more comfortable for the driver and front seat passengers.

Convenience
With the Acura RLX you will definitely be making less frequent stops at the gas station than with the Lexus IS-F, due to its tank size and fuel economy.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The Lexus IS-F will definitely make more of a dent in your wallet than the Acura RLX, which has a much lower MSRP. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The Lexus IS-F and the Acura RLX have similar Destination Charges.

Dimensions
Since the Lexus IS-F is much slimmer than the Acura RLX, it'll be much easier to find a wide enough space in a crowded parking lot. If you go with the Lexus IS-F, you'll have a much easier time finding a large enough space to park than you will with the Acura RLX.

Drivetrain
Due to its much higher torque, the engine of the Lexus IS-F does a much better job of transmitting power to the wheels than the Acura RLX.

Handling
The Lexus IS-F has a significantly smaller turning radius than the Acura RLX, allowing much better maneuverability in and out of tight spots.

Performance
When it comes to horsepower, the Lexus IS-F has a much more powerful engine than the Acura RLX. However, something you should consider is that higher horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Utility
The Lexus IS-F has less seating than the Acura RLX, making the Acura RLX the better choice if you need to chauffeur many passengers. The Lexus IS-F has less cargo capacity than the Acura RLX, which is okay if you don't need to move a lot in one trip.

Warranty
The Lexus IS-F comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the Acura RLX.
