2014 Kia Forte vs. 2013 MINI MINI-Hardtop Review

Comparison Review

Comfort
Due to its greater rear head- and legroom, backseat passengers will be able to stretch out a lot more in the Kia Forte than the MINI MINI-Hardtop. Offering just a little more front head- and legroom than the MINI MINI-Hardtop, the Kia Forte may be a little roomier and more comfortable for the driver and front seat passengers.

Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the Kia Forte as you will with the MINI MINI-Hardtop, as they get the same number of miles per tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). When looking only at MSRP, the Kia Forte will have less of an impact on your bank account than the MINI MINI-Hardtop. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The Kia Forte and the MINI MINI-Hardtop have similar Destination Charges.

Dimensions
Since the Kia Forte is much wider than the MINI MINI-Hardtop, finding a wide enough spot in a parking lot may be a bit more challenging. If you go with the Kia Forte, you may be circling the block looking for a space large enough to park more often than with the MINI MINI-Hardtop.

Drivetrain
With its lower torque, the Kia Forte doesn't do as good a job transmitting power to its wheels as the MINI MINI-Hardtop.

Handling
The Kia Forte has about the same turning radius as the MINI MINI-Hardtop, allowing equal maneuverability in and out of tight spots.

Performance
The Kia Forte has less horsepower than the MINI MINI-Hardtop, so it will probably be somewhat slower.

Utility
The Kia Forte offers greater seating capacity than the MINI MINI-Hardtop, making it a better choice for those who find themselves chauffeuring others around.

Warranty
You'll have greater peace of mind with the more generous basic warranty of the Kia Forte than that of the MINI MINI-Hardtop.
