2016 Honda Pilot vs. 2015 Toyota Venza Review

Comparison Review

Comfort
The Honda Pilot offers rear passengers about the same room to stretch out as the Toyota Venza, with comparable head- and legroom. As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between front seat comfort in the Honda Pilot and the Toyota Venza.

Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the Honda Pilot as you will with the Toyota Venza, as they are both able to travel similar distances on a tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The Honda Pilot is somewhat more expensive than the Toyota Venza. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. Both the Honda Pilot and the Toyota Venza have similar Destination Charges.

Dimensions
Since the Honda Pilot is much wider than the Toyota Venza, finding a wide enough spot in a parking lot may be a bit more challenging. For some people, bigger is better. If that's the case for you, then you'll be happier with the Honda Pilot, which is slightly longer than the Toyota Venza.

Drivetrain
Due to its much higher torque, the Honda Pilot does a much better job of transmitting its engine's horsepower to its wheels than the Toyota Venza.

Handling
The Honda Pilot has a smaller turning radius than the Toyota Venza, allowing you to more easily maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
When considering towing capacity, the Honda Pilot is clearly the choice over the Toyota Venza for pulling heavy loads. When it comes to horsepower, the Honda Pilot greatly out-muscles the Toyota Venza.

Utility
Soccer Moms and those who need to chauffeur around a lot of people will appreciate the Honda Pilot more than the Toyota Venza, due to its significantly greater seating capacity. The Honda Pilot has a roomier cargo area for putting your bags or other items than the Toyota Venza.

Warranty
The Honda Pilot comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the Toyota Venza.
