2017 Ford Mustang vs. 2016 Scion tC Review

Comparison Review

Comfort
Passengers in the back seat will be able to stretch out a lot more in the Scion tC than the Ford Mustang, due to its greater head- and legroom. The Ford Mustang will be a favorite with taller drivers due to its greater front head- and legroom than the Scion tC.

Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the Ford Mustang as you will with the Scion tC, as they get the same number of miles per tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The Ford Mustang will definitely make more of a dent in your wallet than the Scion tC, which has a much lower MSRP. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The Destination Charge for the Ford Mustang is much higher than that for the Scion tC.

Dimensions
Since the Ford Mustang is much wider than the Scion tC, finding a wide enough spot in a parking lot may be a bit more challenging. If you go with the Ford Mustang, you may be circling the block looking for a space large enough to park more often than with the Scion tC.

Drivetrain
Due to its much higher torque, the engine of the Ford Mustang does a much better job of transmitting power to the wheels than the Scion tC.

Handling
The Ford Mustang has about the same turning radius as the Scion tC, allowing equal maneuverability in and out of tight spots.

Performance
When it comes to horsepower, the Ford Mustang has a much more powerful engine than the Scion tC. However, something you should consider is that higher horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Utility
The Ford Mustang has less seating than the Scion tC, making the Scion tC the better choice if you need to chauffeur many passengers. The Ford Mustang has significantly less cargo room than the Scion tC, which may be a concern if you do a lot of warehouse shopping.

Warranty
The Ford Mustang comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the Scion tC.
