2013 Ford E-150 vs. 2014 Honda Odyssey Review

Comparison Review

Comfort
Passengers in the back seat may find themselves a little more cramped in the Ford E-150 than the Honda Odyssey. The Ford E-150 will be popular with taller drivers and passengers in the front seat, due to its greater front head- and legroom than the Honda Odyssey.

Convenience
The Honda Odyssey requires fewer stops at the gas station than the Ford E-150, making it more convenient to drive.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). Clearly, the Ford E-150 is a better financial choice over the Honda Odyssey, when considering MSRP. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The Destination Charge for the Ford E-150 is much higher than that for the Honda Odyssey.

Dimensions
The Ford E-150 is about the same width as the Honda Odyssey. If you go with the Ford E-150, you may be circling the block looking for a space large enough to park more often than with the Honda Odyssey.

Drivetrain
With somewhat higher torque, the Ford E-150 transmits power to its wheels a bit more effectively than the Honda Odyssey.

Handling
The Ford E-150 has a significantly larger turning radius than the Honda Odyssey, making it much more difficult to maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
When considering towing capacity, the Ford E-150 is clearly the choice over the Honda Odyssey for pulling heavy loads. In terms of horsepower, it's a virtual tie between the Ford E-150 and the Honda Odyssey.

Utility
In terms of seating, you'll be able to fit about the same number of people in both the Ford E-150 and the Honda Odyssey.

Warranty
The Ford E-150 comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the Honda Odyssey.
