2014 FIAT 500c vs. 2013 BMW 128 Review

Comparison Review

Comfort
The FIAT 500c offers rear passengers about the same space to stretch out as the BMW 128 with comparable rear head- and legroom in both vehicles. As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between the FIAT 500c and the BMW 128 in the front seats.

Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the FIAT 500c as you will with the BMW 128, as they get the same number of miles per tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). Based on MSRP, the FIAT 500c is clearly a better financial choice over the BMW 128. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The FIAT 500c carries a much lower Destination Charge than the BMW 128.

Dimensions
Since the FIAT 500c is much slimmer than the BMW 128, it'll be much easier to find a wide enough space in a crowded parking lot. If you go with the FIAT 500c, you'll have a much easier time finding a large enough space to park than you will with the BMW 128.

Drivetrain
The FIAT 500c has much less torque than the BMW 128, which generally means that it won't feel as fast or powerful.

Handling
The FIAT 500c has a significantly smaller turning radius than the BMW 128, allowing much better maneuverability in and out of tight spots.

Performance
When it comes to horsepower, the FIAT 500c is significantly less powerful than the BMW 128. The good news is that, reportedly, cars with lower horsepower engines often have lower insurance premiums.

Utility
In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the FIAT 500c and the BMW 128. With its significantly greater cargo capacity, the FIAT 500c will be able to haul more equipment or luggage than the BMW 128.

Warranty
The FIAT 500c comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the BMW 128.
