2014 Chrysler 200 vs. 2014 Subaru Legacy Review

Comparison Review

Comfort
The Chrysler 200 offers rear passengers about the same space to stretch out as the Subaru Legacy with comparable rear head- and legroom in both vehicles. Offering just a little more front head- and legroom than the Subaru Legacy, the Chrysler 200 may be a little roomier and more comfortable for the driver and front seat passengers.

Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the Chrysler 200 as you will with the Subaru Legacy, as they get the same number of miles per tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). When looking only at MSRP, the Chrysler 200 will have less of an impact on your bank account than the Subaru Legacy. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The Destination Charge for the Chrysler 200 is much higher than that for the Subaru Legacy.

Dimensions
The Chrysler 200 is a little wider than the Subaru Legacy, so getting in and out of the car in a crowded parking lot may be a little more of a squeeze. For some people, bigger is better. If that's the case for you, then you'll be happier with the Chrysler 200, which is slightly longer than the Subaru Legacy.

Drivetrain
With its lower torque, the Chrysler 200 doesn't do as good a job transmitting power to its wheels as the Subaru Legacy.

Handling
The Chrysler 200 has about the same turning radius as the Subaru Legacy, allowing equal maneuverability in and out of tight spots.

Performance
When it comes to horsepower, the Chrysler 200 has a much more powerful engine than the Subaru Legacy. However, something you should consider is that higher horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Utility
In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the Chrysler 200 and the Subaru Legacy. The Chrysler 200 has less cargo capacity than the Subaru Legacy, which is okay if you don't need to move a lot in one trip.

Warranty
The Chrysler 200 comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the Subaru Legacy.
