2016 Chrysler 200 vs. 2017 Acura ILX Review

Comparison Review

Comfort
Due to its greater rear head- and legroom, backseat passengers will be able to stretch out a lot more in the Chrysler 200 than the Acura ILX. As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between the Chrysler 200 and the Acura ILX in the front seats.

Convenience
The Chrysler 200 will require fewer stops at the gas station than the Acura ILX, making it more convenient to drive.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). When looking only at MSRP, the Chrysler 200 will have less of an impact on your bank account than the Acura ILX. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The Chrysler 200 will cost more in transportation costs than the Acura ILX.

Dimensions
Since the Chrysler 200 is much wider than the Acura ILX, finding a wide enough spot in a parking lot may be a bit more challenging. If you go with the Chrysler 200, you may be circling the block looking for a space large enough to park more often than with the Acura ILX.

Drivetrain
With its lower torque, the Chrysler 200 doesn't do as good a job transmitting power to its wheels as the Acura ILX.

Handling
The Chrysler 200 has a larger turning radius than the Acura ILX, making it slightly more difficult to maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
When it comes to horsepower, the Chrysler 200 has a much more powerful engine than the Acura ILX. However, something you should consider is that higher horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Utility
In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the Chrysler 200 and the Acura ILX. With its significantly greater cargo capacity, the Chrysler 200 will be able to haul more equipment or luggage than the Acura ILX.

Warranty
The basic warranty of the Chrysler 200 is not as nearly as extensive as that of the Acura ILX.
