2017 Cadillac XTS vs. 2016 Lincoln MKS Review

Comparison Review

Comfort
The Cadillac XTS offers rear passengers about the same space to stretch out as the Lincoln MKS with comparable rear head- and legroom in both vehicles. As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between the Cadillac XTS and the Lincoln MKS in the front seats.

Convenience
The Cadillac XTS will require fewer stops at the gas station than the Lincoln MKS, making it more convenient to drive.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The Cadillac XTS will definitely make more of a dent in your wallet than the Lincoln MKS, which has a much lower MSRP. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The Cadillac XTS will cost more in transportation costs than the Lincoln MKS.

Dimensions
Since the Cadillac XTS is much slimmer than the Lincoln MKS, it'll be much easier to find a wide enough space in a crowded parking lot. When looking at overall length, the Cadillac XTS takes up about the same amount of space in your garage as the Lincoln MKS.

Drivetrain
With its lower torque, the Cadillac XTS doesn't do as good a job transmitting power to its wheels as the Lincoln MKS.

Handling
The Cadillac XTS has about the same turning radius as the Lincoln MKS, allowing equal maneuverability in and out of tight spots.

Performance
In terms of horsepower, it's basically a tie between the Cadillac XTS and the Lincoln MKS.

Utility
In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the Cadillac XTS and the Lincoln MKS. The Cadillac XTS has less cargo capacity than the Lincoln MKS, which is okay if you don't need to move a lot in one trip.

Warranty
The Cadillac XTS comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the Lincoln MKS.
