2015 Cadillac SRX vs. 2014 Lexus GX 460 Review

Comparison Review

Comfort
The Cadillac SRX offers rear passengers about the same room to stretch out as the Lexus GX 460, with comparable head- and legroom. The Cadillac SRX offers just a little more front head- and legroom than the Lexus GX 460, making it a little more comfortable for the driver and front passenger.

Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the Cadillac SRX as you will with the Lexus GX 460, as they are both able to travel similar distances on a tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). When looking only at MSRP, the Cadillac SRX will have less of an impact on your bank account than the Lexus GX 460. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. Both the Cadillac SRX and the Lexus GX 460 have similar Destination Charges.

Dimensions
The Cadillac SRX is a little wider than the Lexus GX 460, so getting in and out of the car in a crowded parking lot may be a little more of a squeeze. When looking at overall length, the Cadillac SRX takes up about the same amount of space in your garage as the Lexus GX 460.

Drivetrain
With its lower torque engine, the Cadillac SRX doesn't do as good a job transmitting power to its wheels as the Lexus GX 460.

Handling
The Cadillac SRX has a larger turning radius than the Lexus GX 460, making it slightly more difficult to maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
In terms of towing capacity, the Lexus GX 460 is clearly the choice over the Cadillac SRX for pulling heavy loads. In terms of horsepower, it's a virtual tie between the Cadillac SRX and the Lexus GX 460.

Utility
The Cadillac SRX has less seating than the Lexus GX 460, making the Lexus GX 460 the better choice, if you need to chauffeur many passengers. The Cadillac SRX has less cargo space than the Lexus GX 460, which is okay if you don't need to move a lot in one trip.

Warranty
The Cadillac SRX comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the Lexus GX 460.
