2014 Cadillac CTS vs. 2014 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Review

Comparison Review

Comfort
The Cadillac CTS offers a bit more room for passengers in the back seat than the Mercedes-Benz C-Class. As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between the Cadillac CTS and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class in the front seats.

Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the Cadillac CTS as you will with the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, as they get the same number of miles per tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). When looking only at MSRP, the Cadillac CTS will have less of an impact on your bank account than the Mercedes-Benz C-Class. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The Cadillac CTS and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class have similar Destination Charges.

Dimensions
Since the Cadillac CTS is much wider than the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, finding a wide enough spot in a parking lot may be a bit more challenging. For some people, bigger is better. If that's the case for you, then you'll be happier with the Cadillac CTS, which is slightly longer than the Mercedes-Benz C-Class.

Drivetrain
With similar torque, the Cadillac CTS and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class do an equal job of transmitting their engine's power to their wheels.

Handling
The Cadillac CTS has about the same turning radius as the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, allowing equal maneuverability in and out of tight spots.

Performance
When it comes to horsepower, the Cadillac CTS is somewhat more powerful than the Mercedes-Benz C-Class.

Utility
In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the Cadillac CTS and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class. The Cadillac CTS has less cargo capacity than the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, which is okay if you don't need to move a lot in one trip.

Warranty
The Cadillac CTS comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
