2014 Cadillac CTS vs. 2013 Lexus IS-F Review

Comparison Review

Comfort
Due to its greater rear head- and legroom, backseat passengers will be able to stretch out a lot more in the Cadillac CTS than the Lexus IS-F. The Cadillac CTS will be a favorite with taller drivers due to its greater front head- and legroom than the Lexus IS-F.

Convenience
With the Cadillac CTS you will definitely be making fewer stops at the gas station than with the Lexus IS-F, due to its larger tank size and better fuel economy.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). When looking only at MSRP, the Cadillac CTS will have less of an impact on your bank account than the Lexus IS-F. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The Cadillac CTS and the Lexus IS-F have similar Destination Charges.

Dimensions
The Cadillac CTS is about the same width as the Lexus IS-F. If you go with the Cadillac CTS, you may be circling the block looking for a space large enough to park more often than with the Lexus IS-F.

Drivetrain
The Cadillac CTS has much less torque than the Lexus IS-F, which generally means that it won't feel as fast or powerful.

Handling
The Cadillac CTS has a significantly larger turning radius than the Lexus IS-F, making it much more difficult to maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
When it comes to horsepower, the Cadillac CTS is significantly less powerful than the Lexus IS-F. The good news is that, reportedly, cars with lower horsepower engines often have lower insurance premiums.

Utility
The Cadillac CTS offers greater seating capacity than the Lexus IS-F, making it a better choice for those who find themselves chauffeuring others around. You'll be able to fit about the same amount of groceries into the Cadillac CTS as you will in the Lexus IS-F.

Warranty
The Cadillac CTS comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the Lexus IS-F.
