2017 Cadillac CTS vs. 2017 Cadillac ATS Review

Comparison Review

Comfort
Due to its greater rear head- and legroom, backseat passengers will be able to stretch out a lot more in the Cadillac CTS than the Cadillac ATS. The Cadillac CTS will be a favorite with taller drivers due to its greater front head- and legroom than the Cadillac ATS.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The Cadillac CTS will definitely make more of a dent in your wallet than the Cadillac ATS, which has a much lower MSRP. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The Cadillac CTS and the Cadillac ATS have similar Destination Charges.

Dimensions
The Cadillac CTS is a little wider than the Cadillac ATS, so getting in and out of the car in a crowded parking lot may be a little more of a squeeze. If you go with the Cadillac CTS, you may be circling the block looking for a space large enough to park more often than with the Cadillac ATS.

Drivetrain
With its lower torque, the Cadillac CTS doesn't do as good a job transmitting power to its wheels as the Cadillac ATS.

Handling
The Cadillac CTS has a smaller turning radius than the Cadillac ATS, allowing you to more easily maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
When it comes to horsepower, the Cadillac CTS is somewhat more powerful than the Cadillac ATS.

Utility
In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the Cadillac CTS and the Cadillac ATS. With its significantly greater cargo capacity, the Cadillac CTS will be able to haul more equipment or luggage than the Cadillac ATS.

Warranty
The Cadillac CTS comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the Cadillac ATS.
