2015 Cadillac CTS vs. 2014 Acura RLX Review

Comparison Review

Comfort
Passengers in the back seat will be able to stretch out a lot more in the Acura RLX than the Cadillac CTS, due to its greater head- and legroom. The Cadillac CTS will be a favorite with taller drivers due to its greater front head- and legroom than the Acura RLX.

Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the Cadillac CTS as you will with the Acura RLX, as they get the same number of miles per tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The Cadillac CTS is somewhat more expensive than the Acura RLX. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The Destination Charge for the Cadillac CTS is much higher than that for the Acura RLX.

Dimensions
Since the Cadillac CTS is much slimmer than the Acura RLX, it'll be much easier to find a wide enough space in a crowded parking lot. When looking at overall length, the Cadillac CTS takes up about the same amount of space in your garage as the Acura RLX.

Drivetrain
With somewhat higher torque, the engine of the Cadillac CTS transmits a bit more power to the wheels than the Acura RLX.

Handling
The Cadillac CTS has a significantly smaller turning radius than the Acura RLX, allowing much better maneuverability in and out of tight spots.

Performance
The Cadillac CTS has less horsepower than the Acura RLX, so it will probably be somewhat slower.

Utility
In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the Cadillac CTS and the Acura RLX. The Cadillac CTS has less cargo capacity than the Acura RLX, which is okay if you don't need to move a lot in one trip.

Warranty
The Cadillac CTS comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the Acura RLX.
