2015 Cadillac ATS vs. 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Review

Comparison Review

Comfort
The Cadillac ATS offers rear passengers about the same space to stretch out as the Mercedes-Benz C-Class with comparable rear head- and legroom in both vehicles. Offering just a little more front head- and legroom than the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, the Cadillac ATS may be a little roomier and more comfortable for the driver and front seat passengers.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The Cadillac ATS is somewhat more expensive than the Mercedes-Benz C-Class. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The Cadillac ATS will cost more in transportation costs than the Mercedes-Benz C-Class.

Dimensions
Since the Cadillac ATS is much wider than the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, finding a wide enough spot in a parking lot may be a bit more challenging. When looking at overall length, the Cadillac ATS takes up about the same amount of space in your garage as the Mercedes-Benz C-Class.

Drivetrain
With somewhat higher torque, the engine of the Cadillac ATS transmits a bit more power to the wheels than the Mercedes-Benz C-Class.

Handling
The Cadillac ATS has a larger turning radius than the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, making it slightly more difficult to maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
When it comes to horsepower, the Cadillac ATS has a much more powerful engine than the Mercedes-Benz C-Class. However, something you should consider is that higher horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Utility
In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the Cadillac ATS and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class. The Cadillac ATS has less cargo capacity than the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, which is okay if you don't need to move a lot in one trip.

Warranty
The Cadillac ATS comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
