2016 Cadillac ATS vs. 2017 Lincoln MKZ Review

Comparison Review

Comfort
Passengers in the back seat will be able to stretch out a lot more in the Lincoln MKZ than the Cadillac ATS, due to its greater head- and legroom. Offering just a little more front head- and legroom than the Cadillac ATS, drivers may find the Lincoln MKZ a little roomier and somewhat more comfortable.

Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the Cadillac ATS as you will with the Lincoln MKZ, as they get the same number of miles per tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The Cadillac ATS is somewhat more expensive than the Lincoln MKZ. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The Cadillac ATS will cost more in transportation costs than the Lincoln MKZ.

Dimensions
Since the Cadillac ATS is much slimmer than the Lincoln MKZ, it'll be much easier to find a wide enough space in a crowded parking lot. If you go with the Cadillac ATS, you'll have a much easier time finding a large enough space to park than you will with the Lincoln MKZ.

Drivetrain
With somewhat higher torque, the engine of the Cadillac ATS transmits a bit more power to the wheels than the Lincoln MKZ.

Handling
The Cadillac ATS has a smaller turning radius than the Lincoln MKZ, allowing you to more easily maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
When it comes to horsepower, the Cadillac ATS is significantly less powerful than the Lincoln MKZ. The good news is that, reportedly, cars with lower horsepower engines often have lower insurance premiums.
