2014 Buick Enclave vs. 2014 Lincoln MKX Review

Comparison Review

Comfort
Passengers in the backseat will be able to stretch out a lot more in the Lincoln MKX than in the Buick Enclave, due to its greater head- and legroom. The Buick Enclave offers just a little more front head- and legroom than the Lincoln MKX, making it a little more comfortable for the driver and front passenger.

Convenience
The Buick Enclave requires fewer stops at the gas station than the Lincoln MKX, making it more convenient to drive.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The Buick Enclave is somewhat more expensive than the Lincoln MKX. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. Both the Buick Enclave and the Lincoln MKX have similar Destination Charges.

Dimensions
Since the Buick Enclave is much wider than the Lincoln MKX, finding a wide enough spot in a parking lot may be a bit more challenging. If you go with the Buick Enclave, you may be circling the block looking for a space large enough to park more often than with the Lincoln MKX.

Drivetrain
With its lower torque engine, the Buick Enclave doesn't do as good a job transmitting power to its wheels as the Lincoln MKX.

Handling
The Buick Enclave has a larger turning radius than the Lincoln MKX, making it slightly more difficult to maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
When considering towing capacity, the Buick Enclave is clearly the choice over the Lincoln MKX for pulling heavy loads. The Buick Enclave has a little less horsepower than the Lincoln MKX.

Utility
Soccer Moms and those who need to chauffeur around a lot of people will appreciate the Buick Enclave more than the Lincoln MKX, due to its significantly greater seating capacity. With the Buick Enclave, you'll be able to haul more equipment or luggage than the Lincoln MKX.

Warranty
The Buick Enclave comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the Lincoln MKX.
