Convenience
With the BMW 640 you will definitely be making less frequent stops at the gas station than with the BMW M6, due to its tank size and fuel economy.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The BMW M6 will definitely make more of a dent in your wallet than the BMW 640, which has a much lower MSRP. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The BMW M6 and the BMW 640 have similar Destination Charges.

Due to its much higher torque, the engine of the BMW M6 does a much better job of transmitting power to the wheels than the BMW 640.

Handling
The BMW M6 has about the same turning radius as the BMW 640, allowing equal maneuverability in and out of tight spots.

Performance
When it comes to horsepower, the BMW M6 has a much more powerful engine than the BMW 640. However, something you should consider is that higher horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.
