2014 BMW 528 vs. 2014 Lincoln MKS Review

Comparison Review

Comfort
Passengers in the back seat will be able to stretch out a lot more in the Lincoln MKS than the BMW 528, due to its greater head- and legroom. As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between the BMW 528 and the Lincoln MKS in the front seats.

Convenience
With the BMW 528 you will definitely be making fewer stops at the gas station than with the Lincoln MKS, due to its larger tank size and better fuel economy.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The BMW 528 is somewhat more expensive than the Lincoln MKS. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The BMW 528 will cost more in transportation costs than the Lincoln MKS.

Dimensions
Since the BMW 528 is much slimmer than the Lincoln MKS, it'll be much easier to find a wide enough space in a crowded parking lot. If you go with the BMW 528, you'll have a much easier time finding a large enough space to park than you will with the Lincoln MKS.

Drivetrain
With its lower torque, the BMW 528 doesn't do as good a job transmitting power to its wheels as the Lincoln MKS.

Handling
The BMW 528 has about the same turning radius as the Lincoln MKS, allowing equal maneuverability in and out of tight spots.

Performance
When it comes to horsepower, the BMW 528 is significantly less powerful than the Lincoln MKS. The good news is that, reportedly, cars with lower horsepower engines often have lower insurance premiums.

Utility
In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the BMW 528 and the Lincoln MKS. The BMW 528 has significantly less cargo room than the Lincoln MKS, which may be a concern if you do a lot of warehouse shopping.

Warranty
The BMW 528 comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the Lincoln MKS.
