2015 BMW 328 vs. 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Review

Comparison Review

Comfort
Passengers in the back seat will be able to stretch out a lot more in the Mercedes-Benz E-Class than the BMW 328, due to its greater head- and legroom. The BMW 328 will be a favorite with taller drivers due to its greater front head- and legroom than the Mercedes-Benz E-Class.

Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the BMW 328 as you will with the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, as they get the same number of miles per tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). Based on MSRP, the BMW 328 is clearly a better financial choice over the Mercedes-Benz E-Class. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The BMW 328 and the Mercedes-Benz E-Class have similar Destination Charges.

Dimensions
Since the BMW 328 is much slimmer than the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, it'll be much easier to find a wide enough space in a crowded parking lot. If you go with the BMW 328, you'll have a much easier time finding a large enough space to park than you will with the Mercedes-Benz E-Class.

Drivetrain
With its lower torque, the BMW 328 doesn't do as good a job transmitting power to its wheels as the Mercedes-Benz E-Class.

Handling
The BMW 328 has about the same turning radius as the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, allowing equal maneuverability in and out of tight spots.

Performance
When it comes to horsepower, the BMW 328 is significantly less powerful than the Mercedes-Benz E-Class. The good news is that, reportedly, cars with lower horsepower engines often have lower insurance premiums.

Utility
The BMW 328 has less seating than the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, making the Mercedes-Benz E-Class the better choice if you need to chauffeur many passengers. The BMW 328 has less cargo capacity than the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, which is okay if you don't need to move a lot in one trip.

Warranty
The BMW 328 comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the Mercedes-Benz E-Class.
